What is Karma? Karma is a Sankrit word which means an action or deed. Many people are quite mistaken about Karma to mean something bad or evil. In everything there is always the flip-side of the coin. Karma is nothing about good or evil. It simply means Cause and Effect. When you try to harm someone's life and the person gets angry, the person will fight back in defence and do anything to safe himself or herself or even killing you. The cause is you trying to harm the person and the effect is the person retaliating or killing you. When you try to help the homeless people out of kindness and compassion, they appreciate your help even though they cannot offer you anything in return but it warms their heart. There is also cause and effect for helping someone. Hence Karma is simply Cause and Effect. It can turn out to be a bad effect or merits depending on your intentions and deeds.
Karma is a mental state within ourselves. If we carry guilt, shame, anger or any lower vibrational feelings over an act or deed and when these are not resolved through forgiveness, the effect or karma will remain imprinted in the universe.
Is it necessary to carry Karma with you? No. Once you have realized that you need to be kind, loving and non-judgemental to yourself and other sentient beings, there is no necessity to carry Karma with you throughout your lifetimes. You can choose to drop it with your intentions. Our life is filled with life lessons for us to grow and learn. Learn to forgive yourself, forgive others and ask for forgiveness. Express gratitude to the universe for the abundance and everything that you have daily. Help other people in whatever ways with good intentions.
It is quite similar to the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction is simply Like attracts like. What we think, feel or act, we attract those things that we think, feel or act. The more we think positively about our lives, the more we attract positive things into our lives. Reversely if we are always feeling depressed and worried, the more we will attract the negative aspects to manifest. So always check on our thoughts, feelings and perceptions to create our reality. It is not something outside of ourselves, other people or the environment to shape our reality. Our thoughts are also energy that other people who are sensitive enough can pick up too. We are masters of our own mind for manifestations and creating our own life.
