Have you heard of marketers or presenters who tell you to fake it until you make it? This is a traditional way of establishing confidence by pretending to be a professional which has no lasting effect when it comes to attracting good opportunities, winning a job interview, building long term trust in business or relationships or creating the first impression.

Authenticity now becomes the new marketing trending because people are getting smarter these days in reading body language and the mind.


What does it mean to be authentic?


Being authentic is to be sincere, genuine, original, not an imitation, reliable and trustworthy. Your personal branding in essence is about being Uniquely You.


Standing in your own Authentic Power is a self-embodied confidence that is unshakeable by any changing external environmental factors or shaped by others’ opinions. The authentic power comes from within the inner self that exudes calm confidence without needing to be loud or flamboyant.

Why is it important to discover your Authentic Power or Personal Branding? Are they the same?

Yes, I define them as the same thing. When you are not standing in your authentic power, you will find that sometimes your confidence level dips, you question whether you can reach your goal or hitting your sales target or getting your message heard by the right audience. This is relevant to your personal life regardless of whether you are a sales or marketing personnel, in other types of professions or still studying for a degree. How do you position yourself in the market?

Your Unique Personal Branding is:

* your energetic signature that is distinctive from other people

* you are the walking brand that is not only confined to the clothes or brand that you wear, or the assets that you own or your education level

* how you carry yourself, the way you speak, the way you process information and the way you deliver the message.

* more than just finding your own niche but also attracting people who will understand you, make you feel heard and support you.

* one step ahead of the traditional way of networking. In networking, you may get to know many different people on a surface level but it does not establish any deeper heart-to-heart connections with others.

* recognized and acknowledged by others

* authentic and attracts the right clique of people who will truly see you as a unique individual.

It involves telling Your Story. While the world is busy trying to make a mark in the world with intense competition proving their worth and capabilities, do you know who are you fundamentally? Behind every success story, there is a pain story.

What is Your Story?

Imagine if you are a public speaker who is going to tell an audience about yourself, your work and life experiences, what will you tell them? What is special and different about you that others can learn from? What is the inspirational message that you would like to bring across to your audience? It takes some vulnerability and courage to tell your personal story to an audience but it can be a source of inspiration and motivation for others who went through similar tribulations and challenges.

Ways to Express Your Story The way that you can tell your story can be expressed in different forms such as:

  • Writing

  • Speaking

  • Drawing

  • Painting

  • Dancing

  • Singing

  • Inventing / Innovating

  • Creating art pieces

  • Cooking, baking, culinary art

  • Building

  • Healing

  • Teaching

  • Coaching

The possibilities are infinite. These are just some mediums of your self-expression. Take for example, if you are a student in Marine Biology, what brought you to study this course out of so many other courses available? What would you want to learn that can be beneficial to the society or the ecosystem at large? Are you concerned about protecting the environment for a sustainable living for all sea creatures? I am going to introduce the system of Gene Keys to unlock your potential and unleash your unique Personal Branding. Your Gene Keys profile will require the input of your birthday, birth time and birth location in order to calculate accurately. It is different from personality tests because personality tests are subjected to our mental filters in answering questions and the result can change over time as we evolve. Your Gene Keys are your unique blueprint upon birth.

Your Magnificent Personal Branding or Life’s Work

After getting your Gene Keys profile, you can now look at the first sphere at the top that is called Life’s Work. It is the outward expression of your work that you share to the external world. There are 64 types of personal brand archetype or Life’s Work. Within the 64 archetypes, there are also 6 different lines which I will explain later.

The number for each sphere has its unique expression and energetic imprint. In this article, I will only focus on Life’s Work or Personal Branding. Life's Work is what we are here to share with the world.

Look at the corresponding number indicated for your Life’s Work sphere. There are three frequencies for each number. The Shadow, Gift and Siddhi.

For example, number 32 – Failure, Preservation and Veneration. The frequencies flow from the shadow or low frequency of Failure to the gift frequency of Preservation, to the highest Siddhi frequency of Veneration. So for the purpose of understanding your personal branding, you can refer to the Gift / Siddhi frequency of Preservation and Veneration.

In the example of a student in Marine Biology with Life’s Work sphere of 32, it will translate into a person who is passionate about the Preservation of marine lives and the ecosystem. It will differ from another student with Life’s Work sphere of 35 who will be interested in Adventure and unafraid of breaking boundaries.


The lines which is the number that follows after the dot shows how the archetypal energy is expressed. In the example below, the line number is 6 which is a Teacher.

The key notes or frequencies for each number / gate are indicative of your personal branding or Life's Work. I will be posting a summary of the 64 Gene Keys / Human Design Gates in my next article once it's ready.


How is your unique Personal Branding in Gene Keys different from the other marketing materials out there? First of all, Gene Keys is using a combination of chinese ancient divination tool of i-ching, astrology and hindu chakra system to calculate based on your birth data. Other marketing techniques are unable to pinpoint your specific blueprint like reading the DNA. The secrets to understanding your true self is to unlock your DNA potential.


A lot of marketers focus on content creation and capturing the right target audience. But from an energetic perspective, it is more important to know yourself, know who you are, so that you attract the right soul-clients or fractal lines whom can resonate with your energies. It is also about what kind of energies and frequencies do you emit out to the world that will call out or attract your fractal lines or soul tribe.
